 We the People
FCTP  CORE  BELIEFS

We believe that freedom and liberty are self-evident rights granted to us by God, not given to us by government.

We believe government's role is to advance and protect these rights within the limits set forth in our state and national constitutions.

We believe that a limited government must be fiscally responsible to protect the blessings of liberty.

We affirm the 9 Principles and 12 Values of The 9.12 Project.

FCTP  IS  "C-4"
ORGANIZATION

Our non-partisan organization is a not-for-profit registered as a "C-4" tax-exempt group. OK, just exactly what does that mean?

Some tea parties and groups are "C-3" groups and, as such, contributions to them are tax deductible. These "C-3" groups are, in many cases, political action committees (PACs) directly focused on one candidate or issue.

Faulkner County Tea Party is NOT a PAC. Therefore, your donation to the FCTP is not tax deductible.

However, you should know that all our revenue goes directly to our primary mission of educating and inspiring people about constitutional government and fiscal responsibility.

We the People

      FAULKNER         COUNTY
     TEA PARTY:

  WHO ARE WE?

We are a non-partisan organization that recruits, educates, motivates, and engages people to promote constitutional government, fiscal responsibility, and conservative principles and values.

Our vision is to ensure our children continue to enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We subscribe to the 9.12 Principles & Values.   We believe in

  American Exceptionalism

  Individual Liberties and Responsibility,
       Self-Reliance

  Limited Government per the U.S.
       Constitution and States' Rights

  Free Markets and Fiscal Responsibility

  Religious Freedom

We do not advocate the absence of government, nor do we believe in a third-party approach to our goals.  We do not tolerate violent and / or racist behavior of any kind.

"It is not the function of our Government to keep the citizen from falling into error; it is the function of the citizen to keep the Government from falling into error".

--U.S. Supreme Court, in American Communication Association v. Douds, 339 U.S. 382, 442

"It was not by accident or coincidence that the rights to freedom in speech and press were coupled in a single guaranty with the rights of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition for redress of grievances. All these, though not identical, are inseparable. They are cognate rights, and therefore are united in the first Article’s assurance."

---Judge Wiley B. Rutledge, Associate Justice, U.S. Supreme Court till 1949

9.12 Principles

1. America Is Good.

2. I believe in God and He is the Center of my Life.

“The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right which Heaven itself has ordained."
-- from George Washington’s first Inaugural address.

3. I must always try to be a more honest person than I was yesterday.

“I hope that I shall always possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider to be the most enviable of all titles, the character of an honest man.”
--
George Washington

4. The family is sacred. My spouse and I are the ultimate authority, not the government.

“It is in the love of one’s family only that heartfelt happiness is known. By a law of our nature, we cannot be happy without the endearing connections of a family.” --Thomas Jefferson

5. If you break the law you pay the penalty. Justice is blind and no one is above it.

“I deem one of the essential principles of our government… equal and exact justice to all men of whatever state or persuasion, religious or political.”
-- Thomas Jefferson

6. I have a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness, but there is no guarantee of equal results.

“Everyone has a natural right to choose that vocation in life which he thinks most likely to give him comfortable subsistence.” -- Thomas Jefferson

7. I work hard for what I have and I will share it with who I want to. Government cannot force me to be charitable.

“It is not everyone who asketh that deserveth charity; all however, are worth of the inquiry or the deserving may suffer.” -- George Washington

8. It is not un-American for me to disagree with authority or to share my personal opinion.

“In a free and republican government, you cannot restrain the voice of the multitude; every man will speak as he thinks, or more properly without thinking.” -- George Washington

9. The government works for us. We do not answer to them, they answer to us. Who works for whom?

“I consider the people who constitute a society or a nation as the source of all authority in that nation.”
-- Thomas Jefferson
